Defend against Goths

Hello,
I have recently been working on Drush into Archers with Ethiopians.
However, I have queued up more than a couple of times now against Goths players.
They have trained 6 militia in Dark Age and rushed assisted with 5 vils for towering.

I found it hard to defend wit Ethiopians in this situation. I tried the when I knew it was coming to turtle and scouted the towers early,
but I lost too many vils to the Man-at-Arms.

Do you have any advice?

Bests,

If you are ethiopians and you know he is going for mass militia, your best strategy would be to go for archer, and also wall up your individual resources. Playing drush or m@arms might be tricky against goths who is doing mass militia. If you do m@arms you want to make sure you wall your resources and then go aggressive with your men at arms.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just a question. He is supporting with heavy towering, usually he will be with his 6 militia/M@A + vills faster than I can have the archers massed. That makes defending/microwalling the key resources really difficult.
But I will try.

If he makes 6 militia then you should have enough time to deal with it before he get's to feudal age to be able to tower you. However if he's going men at arms into tower and you go archers that means you basically have to give up the first resource unless you are quick enough to counter tower it. With counter tower you can then put your archers even inside the tower to fight.
