So I absolutely thoroughly enjoy laming! I'm not afraid to admit it! I recently committed to using it in each of my last 20 matches or so to varying degrees of success. I've learned a lot about the importance of balanced scouting, the importance of timing and also i've found my self at a disadvantage from failed attempts.

Do you have any tips for a successful lame?

If my timing happens to be off and I'm not able to get any sheep or boars, what are other ways my scout can be annoying at this point in the game? How do you salvage a bad lame attempt?

Any tips for Drush after laming as far barracks timing? Is it worth it to but the barracks before the mill to get earlier militia to harrass enemey vills that will be going after their herdable?

Thank you!

I think the ''safe way'' for laming is to send your scout after you have found both of your boars. Some people go with 6 sheep and 1 boar but you are pretty screwed after you have eaten them, unless you really just make a quick trip towards the enemy and then give up quickly if you can't find anything. Do you have hard time laming a boar?

If you want to do some hardcore laming you could, for example, use goths and even send a villager to lame the boar(s), wall in their berries.

Barracks before mill has become more common these days, so as long as you can handle your economy it can work. However generally the problem with laming (on its own too) and something like early drush is that you just mess up your economy even more than you would normally.

Let me know if you got any follow up questions

Ive been considering getting my own boar earlier....sending what would be my 4th wood dude to my own boar to get my own boars in early incase of lame against my own lame...

as far as seeing my own scouts do damage sometimes I see hoang take out walling villlies or youll see him try to draw a enemy tc into garrison while dancing about the arrows.....i dont play goths, generally huns, or celts or aztecs but will consider the goths early game..

do you have any recomandtations for someone trying to drop an early barax?

i want to put as much fuedal and drush pressure as possible as I generally do best before imp

If you see a villager alone without loom, i don't think thats even really considered laming at this point. It's an easy way to get ahead.

I think laming nowdays is infrequent that you don't need to worry too much about being counter lamed, early boar might help you with keeping your tc running, however it means you have to force drop it quite often.
