Lately ive been losing to man at arms archer a lot. Its funny when i do it i kill my enemy fast but when i have to face the heat its tough.
Especially when i have a big map. Trees far away. It gets difficult to wall. I was trying spanish and i thought i would do fast castle into conqs like everyone else does.
But conqs would suck vs briton archers and i realised that mid game. I couldnt wall fast enough bcoz map was huge ... Plus the scout was annoying my wallers.
I invested too much wood into quickwalling to try and counter the man at arms but then i didnt have wood to make even archery range.
Then thr archers come and now my wood choppers are idle.
Plus i can never keep up with britons archery range production and cheaper tc. What is the approach as spanish vs britons and how to defend man at arms if the map is huge n trees are far away. Do you make smaller base?? An image illustration wouod be great on base building. Thanks.

Dealing with men at arms into archers can be tricky, If you manage to quickwall you need to make sure you clean up the man at arms before archers/spears arrive. This heavily depends on your strategy. But if you are just going walls into FC and man at arms get into your base with archers following up it is usually almost game over. Once you get feudal you need to abandon the FC idea and go for army/tower defense. Would be good to know what were you going for when you got killed by men at arms archer.
