Well if you have alot of xbow it might be worth it, but for eco balance it becomes much harder because it costs alot of wood to get the ballistic (500w) and when you need to add extra farms and the stables, then if you want to get the ballistic you'll just need to delay the stables even more (which obviously can be worth it)

Or were you talking about no kt switch at all? Well if you are against similar xbow mass (no skirms on enemy) then it is better to stay xbow and go ballistic/even siege workshop sometimes. But if they have skirms then the knight switch will be nice.

If you have already traded the xbow numbers and both are low, the knight switch will be much stronger obviously, because especially with +2 knights are hard to deal with xbow when you don't have the critical mass.

It depends on the Xbow numbers, the more xbows the worse the camels get. So it's only recommened when there are only few xbows left for the opponent, as otherwise his xbow army will melt your camels.
